Dogs have this beautiful gift of not making everything better, but requiring more from us so that we heal ourselves for them.
I got Brady when I had never owned a dog before, and it’s safe to say we were both lost. We cycled through multiple trainers, got a lot of mixed advice, and I felt completely overwhelmed and alone as an owner. Nothing was clicking, and I just wanted to understand him.
That finally changed when I discovered Dog Psychology.
I began focusing on the why behind his behavior, not just what he was doing, but what he was trying to communicate. I learned that I needed to slow down, start from scratch, and rebuild our relationship in a way that made sense to him, not just to me. Once we established a way to communicate and I shifted how I showed up for him, everything became simpler. Brady finally felt understood and we both felt so connected.
From there, I knew I wanted to help other owners find the same clarity I finally had. I’ve continued my education through workshops and mentors who focus on Dog Psychology, including Cheri Wulff Lucas and Samantha from PackLife LA. I’m always learning; every single dog teaches me something new.
Today, I help dogs and humans build confidence, clarity, and connection through calm, grounded leadership. My work is centered around teaching people how to truly communicate with their dogs so both ends of the leash feel supported and understood.
And through all of it, Brady has been right by my side; my best friend and greatest assistant. Over time our pack has grown: Levi, Noodles, and even my cat Mr. Mercer, who takes his role as assistant dog trainer very seriously.
This is my life’s work, and I’m grateful for every dog and family I get to help.
